Kathie Pugh

Kathie joined VAMPS in 2023 for The Sound of Music (2024), after a friend mentioned the society upon Kathie moving to St Neots. Kathie is principal lecturer at the University of Bedfordshire – looking after media and arts courses and staff, and is also a seasoned freelance performing arts professional. Kathie is also a practical teaching supervisor for the Royal Academy of Dance and can occasionally be found directing, MD-ing, or choreographing. She has also been involved in community and professional projects for about 40 years, from dancing for Princess Margaret, to singing on a TV series soundtrack, to devising dance workshops for disadvantaged children. Kathie is passionate about musical theater and is an Equity member. She has many show credits, including two NODA Best Musicals award winning shows, with Cambs Festival Players’ Cats (2018) where she was co-choreographer, and Cambridge Operatic Society’s The Sound of Music (2020) where she was assistant director and choreographer. She has also been the musical director for Dogfight (2022) for Wilburton Theatre Group, and joined St Neots Players in 2023 to take on the role of Queen Carrott in the panto Jack and the Beanstalk.

Kathie is thrilled to be a nun, and dedicates her performance to one amazing God.
