Laura Jones

As a primary school teacher, Laura loves to perform, whether she’s in the classroom or on the stage. Laura has always sung in choirs and bands, so taking on the challenge of combining singing with dancing and acting seemed obvious when she began performing with amateur dramatics groups 7 years ago, including playing Eliza Dolittle in Ashbeian Musical Theatre Group’s (AMTG) 2018 production of My Fair Lady. Since then, she’s thrown herself at every role with determination. Laura has found the rehearsals for Our House to have been so much fun: the community and camaraderie of the cast is inspiring and she feels very lucky to be a part of the family.

Laura made her debut with VAMPS in 2019, taking on the role of Clare in Made in Dagenham and, followed it up with Showstoppers 6 (2022), after her performance in Chicago (2020) as Hunyak the Hungarian was cruelly taken away because of the postponement of the show due to COVID.
