Emily Wainwright-Meekins

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (2023) was Emily’s first production with VAMPS, however she has been in the professional performing arts industry for more than 20 years; on stage, on screen and around her local community. In 2014, during her 1st year of uni, Emily got her first job as a Musical Director, and has continued to build her theatrical portfolio since – including no less than, to date, 4 shows with VAMPS the most recent being The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Fun fact: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang marked Emily’s 40th show as MD, and she was thrilled to share it with the wonderful cast and crew at VAMPS, who have all been so welcoming!

When she’s not doing VAMPS, Emily is Musical Director and Pupil Manager of Riverside Theatre Company, runs private piano and singing lessons, and directs St Neots Community Choir. In her spare time, she’s a keen baker, podcaster, and animal fanatic.

Emily would like to dedicate this performance to the people she loves the most in this world – Ryan, Mum, Dad, Bub, Siobhan, and of course, Winnie Bear.
