Lorraine Durrant

Lorraine, or Rainey, joined VAMPS in 2023, as part of the newly formed committee, and made her debut in St Neots Fringe (2023). St Neots Fringe marks Rainey’s first performance since senior school, having previously taken on roles as Loreta in Bugsy Malone, and Father O’Steak in Dracular Spectacular. Rainey’s love of musicals began as a child watching movies such as Singing in the Rain, Calamity Jane, Sound of Music, and Mary Poppins. Rainey is glad to have joined VAMPS as she has made so many life long friends, and her confidence has grown immeasurably.

Outside of the theatre Rainey works for a local primary school, having moved from shoe brand Dr Martens after 18 years – where she got to travel the world whilst working. In her downtime, Rainey loves all things craft, baking, reading, and visit the coast.

Rainey would like to dedicate her performance to everyone who doesn’t believe they can, let her spark ignite your fire and challenge yourself to do the things you’ve always wanted to do!
