Tim Powers

Tim has been involved behind the scenes for amdram in St Neots since 2007, when he joined the stage crew for St Neots Players’ panto Sleeping Beauty. His first show for VAMPS was in 2008’s The Adventures of Mr Toad. Since then he has helped out backstage for both societies for many shows, and took on artwork duties, as well as becoming webmaster for both societies. Tim typically works as part of the stage crew, on occasion as Deputy Stage Manager, but in 2022, for VAMPS first show back, he was co-lighting designer, and operator for Showstoppers 6.

Tim is a professional technician in the entertainment industry, working primarily at Cambridge Junction. He has put his skills in lighting, sound, stage, and set design to good use for both VAMPS and St Neots Players, having designed the set, sound, and lighting for Dial M for Murder, and the lighting design for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in concert (2024). Tim is also a freelance designer and web developer, with numerous clients in and around St Neots, including no less than 5 amateur dramatic societies for whom he has built websites for and creates their show artwork and in some cases their programmes too.
